Last Thursday, I sat down to one of the best meals I’ve had since moving back to Houston.
Let me set the scene for you: I walked into a warmly-lit home in River Oaks to find myself in the company of 25-30 other appreciators of good food and good people. I was then quickly greeted by the event’s founder (and new friend!), Ahrif Sarumi, and handed two drink tickets, each good for a heavy-handed Rémy Martin cocktail specifically curated for the event. As my drink was mixed/shaken/stirred, I looked to my right to see Chef Mike Potowski and Sous Chef Spencer Serretteworking their magic around the kitchen island. After some sipping and more mingling, we sat down to four courses of continued bliss.
