We’ve been talking a lot about calories here on The Petite Professional lately– how I care a lot less about them than I used to, but still care sometimes. Regardless of how I’m feeling, though, calories are often an unavoidable metric. As a dietitian, I talk with a lot of clients who are interested in weight loss, so it was inevitable that I developed some tips/tricks to cutting cals.
Before you get too excited, though, we’re saving that for another blog post. This post is even more exciting. Today we’re talking about 13 instances in which calories just don’t count.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten standing up.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten off someone else’s plate.
- Calories don’t count when the food is a grocery store sample.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten straight from the container.
- Calories don’t count when the food is self-serve and you only have one bite.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten on a date.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten on your birthday.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten on vacation.
- Calories don’t count when the food is given to you from a co-worker.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten while you’re cooking something else.
- Calories don’t count when the food is a gift.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten during times of extreme sadness.
- Calories don’t count when the food is eaten during times of extreme happiness.
